Children's Gardening Program

Hands-on gardening is the perfect way for kids to get outside and get their hands dirty. Guided by instructors, kids plant, tend, and harvest fresh produce; prepare and taste the fruits of their labor; and enjoy the beautiful natural setting of the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden. Children's Gardening Program Scholarships

Scholarships are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. If selected for an award, you will receive notice by email. Completing a scholarship application does not guarantee availability in the Children’s Gardening Program. The email notice of your award will include detailed information about registration and final payment. Once a scholarship is awarded, you must submit your portion of payment immediately upon notification. Your child is not officially registered until payment is received. Learn more...

 

NYBG Science Camps

The New York Botanical Garden is the place to be for winter, spring, and summer breaks! Science- and nature-themed Camps for kids in Grades K–5 feature outdoor explorations, science investigations, and behind-the-scenes tours in the Garden's 250-acre landscape. Ranging from art-inspired camps to investigations of states of matter and adaptations, each week takes full advantage of the garden's vast plant collection, state-of-the-art technology, and unique habitats like the 50-acre native forest, colorful rose garden, wetlands, and Native Plant Garden.

Nature Explorers Program for Caregivers and Children Ages 2–3

Toddlers are natural scientists! Discover the wonders of nature in each season together with your little one. Come geared up to explore the great outdoors in all elements.
